Kids Air Hockey Tables are a Top Gift Idea!
Our ten year old son got one of these kids air hockey tables for Christmas from his grammy and it’s been a huge entertainment source in our house.
Where Can I Buy a Good Air Hockey Table for Kids?
Amazon has air hockey tables for kids and what’s nice is its shipped to your door. We got this one here:
- 40″ Hockey Table
- Includes 2 pucks and 2 strikers (smaller scale size)
- Blows air through air holes
- Score keepers
- Plug-in the wall for power.
What is a Good Size Air Hockey Table for Kids?
Most kids air hockey tables (like the ones sold on Amazon) are 40-inches long. Its a good size for smaller spaces. It has legs that stand only a few inches off the floor.
Real Air Holes Blowing …. Just Like the Real Thing!
Just like a real air hockey table this kids air hockey table has tiny pin holes that blow real air.
The table plugs into a wall outlet (it’s not battery powered).
This kids air hockey table has been a HUGE HIT – you can tell by all the marks all over the table! The boys are always playing with it. It beats them sitting around playing video games 😉
How Do You Keep Score in Kids Air Hockey?
There is a score keeper on each end of the air hockey table above the puck return area.
It has numbers 0-9 and a red slider to manually mark what your score is. Notice the scrapes all over the table, this will happen. You can clean it up with some alcohol but its just going to get streaked again when you play so why bother?
Rounded Corners Make It Safer for Intense Players
The round corners of the table are nice because boys get a little aggressive and hit the table a lot, especially if my husband is playing 😉 The kids air hockey tables have the markings of a real arcade air hockey table for the most part – just on a smaller scale.
Does Your Air Hockey Table for Kids Have Legs?
The one we bought had short legs, they’re just a couple inches tall. The legs screw into the table. I think it’s good to keep it lower to the ground because you don’t want pucks flying around. The ones that are closer to the ground feel like they take up less room than ones with the taller legs but it really just depends on what you think your kid would like and your space would allow.
