We bought our son the Kid K’nex Building Zone Buddies Building Set for his birthday. He’s always been fascinated playing with his blocks so I thought it was time for an upgrade to something a little more big-boy. What I liked about the Kids K’nex is that each building set has multiple things that can be built from one kit; with the different parts they give you – you can easily build your own imaginative things that aren’t in the instructions. These are thicker pieces than the regular K’nex blocks, these are built for smaller boys.
What’s neat about the Kids K’nex building toys is that they have blocks and bigger K’Nex pieces. The building blocks are similar to Lego Duplo blocks in size, which is perfect for little hands. Both of our boys ended up really loving the building set so we’re probably going to have to buy more of them.
Kid K’NEX Building Toys
Inside the Kids K’Nex Building Zone Buddies playset that we bought, we got a variety of pieces to make several different construction vehicles. There are 30-pices in all with this particular building set, which is perfect for little kids – they don’t need too many pieces to start out with it or it overwhelms them and they don’t want to do it. My boys range in age from almost 2 years old to 7 years old. The both love Kid K’nex Sets.
Kid K’NEX Building Zone Construction Vehicle Set
This is the Kid Knex that we have, my boys love to play with it.
- 30 Pieces
- Makes different vehicles
- Large pieces are good for little hands
- Easy to construct
- Quality-made toys
We plan to buy more of the Kid K’Nex building sets because our boys really do seem to enjoy them. Even our youngest, who is almost 2 years old enjoys putting the pieces together, he can’t build his own car yet but he can however put the blocks and pieces together effortlessly, making it a fun toy for him as well.
Building Sets for Younger Kids
There are a couple different sets available of these Kid K’nex blocks sets. Each one is designed to be easy enough for a 3 year old to figure out. My 2 year old has a great time building with his brother, but I can see why these are geared towards ages 3 & up.
